In 2001, having bought a retail outlet selling Domestic Appliances, Vacuum Cleaner Bags and Accessories, I soon realised even the biggest superstore couldn’t possibly stock the 900 different types of vacuum bags now on offer. With the Internet boom, selling just vacuum cleaner bags online could potentially be very successful. In 2003, I began to create and develop Dustbag.co.uk, which was soon up and running.

Due to an increase in sales the decision was taken to close the retail outlet, relocating to a warehouse to concentrate solely on Dustbag.co.uk

After further continued growth I began sourcing stock direct from manufacturers rather than from wholesalers, which helped Dustbag to be more cost effective and therefore more competitive.

The Ulster Weaving Company was originally founded in 1880. Throughout the late 19th and early 20th century, the Company continued to spin, weave, bleach and finish the high quality linen for which Ireland and Ulster had become famous the world over.
